January 25, 2022 - Prague Integrated Transport recently announced that following a successful pilot project, it is permanently offering holders of a public transport pass free access to shared bicycles for short-term bike rides reports Expats CZ.
Launched last October, the pilot program saw 7,200 passengers take advantage of bike-sharing despite the cold winter months. A total of around 72,000 individual bike rides were recorded.
“The combination of shared bicycles and public transport makes sense, and brings additional benefits to people using public transport for easier and healthier movement around Prague,” said Adam Scheinherr, Prague Councilor for Transport in a press release.
