Quebec’s Nationex Parcel Delivery Acquires NRBI Canada’s Largest Cycle Logistics Company

April 21, 2025 - Nationex, a leader in sustainable delivery based in Saint-Hubert, Quebec has acquired NRBI (Near By) in February of this year. Launched in 2021, NRBI has grown into Canada’s largest cycle logistics company with over 500,000 deliveries completed and operations in Toronto and Vancouver. The company has a fleet of 40 e-cargo bikes and about 30 employees.

“With over 500,000 deliveries completed, we have proven that cargo bikes are a scalable, efficient, cost-effective, zero-emission solution for last-mile delivery in urban centres. They take up less space, reduce congestion, create safer streets, and keep goods moving (even in congested cities like Toronto),” said Ivan Waissbluth, NRBI co-owner, on LinkedIn.

Nationex Parcel Delivery operates a fleet of about 100 electric vehicles and claims to manage Canada’s largest green delivery zone servicing 55% of Quebecers without emitting greenhouse gases. The company wants to position itself as the Canadian leader in clean delivery.

“This acquisition is an important milestone for Nationex,” said Catryn Pinard, Nationex President and Chief Executive Officer in La Presse.
