Rocky Mountain Altitude Powerplay Carbon 70 Wins Design & Innovation Award

release by Rocky Mountain Bicycles

January 20, 2022 - We developed the next generation of Powerplay e-bikes and Dyname 4.0 drive to set a new standard in riding performance. Which is why we’re incredibly proud to receive the Design & Innovation Award for our all-new Altitude Powerplay Carbon 70.

The Design & Innovation Award E-MTBRocky Mountain Altitude Powerplay
Many brands claim that their E-MTB has the same ride sensation as a conventional mountain bike, but we’ve yet to find one with as much truth behind their words as Rocky Mountain. This cult brand from Vancouver have launched a unique concept with their Altitude Powerplay, which has proven to be a cut above the rest of the well-known crop. At the heart of this bike is the brand’s own motor, which allowed the Canadian team to retain the same geometry as the non-motorised Altitude. The slim downtube of this sleek carbon frame houses a fixed 632 Wh battery and space for a bottle cage mount. The powerful motor has pulleys that rattle (which takes some getting used to), but you’ll be oblivious to it when you drop in to the first trail. The Altitude Powerplay demonstrates a level of off-road handling that we’ve not encountered on an E-MTB thus far; in terms of agility, it’s no understatement to say that this Rocky has set a new benchmark.
