November 7, 2023 - (Ratisbon, GER) Ruff Cycles, an emerging manufacturer of lifestyle mobility products located in Germany, is excited to announce the groundbreaking ceremony for its new production site in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The launch will be celebrated in the first half of 2024 and the modern factory will cover an area of 5,000 square meters.
The production is capable of producing 40,000 eBikes per year. The number of employees will consequently expand from the current 150 to 350. Production for Ruff Cycles and other partners such as NICOLAI Bikes has already been taking place in Bosnia-Herzegovina for over 10 years.
This serves to show that Ruff Cycles is still on a growth path. In addition, the slowing sales market is being compensated for by international expansion in countries such as China, the UAE and Canada.
The first partner for the new plant will be PIERER New Mobility GmbH. This strategic collaboration is set to last for several years and aims to develop and produce innovative mobility solutions. The kick-off of this partnership is an exciting project for motorcycle manufacturer GasGas, renowned for their competition bikes used in trial and enduro racing.
The world premiere of the GasGas Moto took place at Eurobike 2023 in Frankfurt. This represents a joint development, bundling the know-how and expertise of both companies to create exceptional eBikes that combine style, design and quality. The first deliveries have already been successfully completed to meet the demand for these remarkable products.
