January 15, 2024 - (Regensburg, GER) The German lifestyle eBike brand Ruff Cycles will unveil their Lil’Buddy “Edge” for its first appearance at this year’s Velofollies in Belgium, Jan. 19-21, that will retail for €1,999. As the first groundbreaking bicycle event in 2024 with over 45,000 visitors, Velofollies serves as the starting point for Ruff Cycles and the entire bicycle industry.
With the new model, Ruff Cycles aims to offer premium eBikes at affordable prices, responding to the rising international demand from dealers and distributors, as well as the current market situation.
The new “Edge” product line is equipped with a Bafang hub drive, specifically designed for e-fat bikes. The existing models with Bosch Performance CX Line will continue to be primarily available for the D-A-CH region and will differentiate themselves as the “Performance” product line in the future, featuring a higher quality configuration compared to the “Edge” product line. The latter positions itself as an entry-level model for lifestyle e-mobility.
The Lil’Buddy “Edge” is manufactured and assembled in the company’s own facility in Bosnia & Herzegovina. A move to a new and larger facility is scheduled for March 2024. The new location will serve as the production site for Ruff Cycles and, as previously reported, for eBikes of the GasGas brand, a cooperation partner of Pierer New Mobility GmbH. However, production of the flagship model, The Ruffian, will continue to take place in Regensburg, Germany.
Ruff Cycles plans to introduce other popular models such as Lil’Missy, The Ruffian, and BIGGIE with Bafang drive during the Eurobike Expo as additional additions to their “Edge” product line. Additionally, 2024 holds exciting special editions in collaboration with partners in the sports, lifestyle, and fashion sectors.

The Lil’Buddy “Edge” is available for pre-order from specialty retailers, and deliveries will begin in March 2024. Visitors to Velofollies have the opportunity to test and experience the new member of the Ruff Cycles family.
