October 26, 2023 - In late Aug., the City of Saint-Jérôme, the Trans Canada Trail and the Le P’tit Train du Nord Linear Park unveiled 16 Velovoute secure parking / charging stations for bicycles and e-bikes at Place de la Gare, the start of the renowned cycling path.
Saint-Jérôme, just north of Montréal, marks the beginning of the world-famous 234km P’tit Train du Nord bike path, built over an old railway line in the Laurentians, and the longest of its kind in Canada.
The project was supported in part by a grant from Trans Canada Trail as part of the Destination Development component of its funding program.
The Velovoute system is the brainchild of Louis Fournier from Chicoutimi, Que., and the company has made other inroads in Québec via its sales division, COMP-X Canada Inc.
