February 22, 2024 - (Givisiez, Switzerland) Picture what you consider to be the perfect Trail bike, then stand back as that ceiling is shattered. The Voltage eRIDE is designed for existing MTB enthusiasts who crave an agile, lightweight and insanely capable Trail bike, with the addition of a compact and quiet motor to take you further than ever before. The all-new Voltage overdelivers trail after trail… after trail.
The Voltage’s sleek, innovative carbon frame houses the cutting edge of technology, boasting 155mm of dreamy support and the celebrated TQ-HPR50 drive system, providing silent and natural-feeling assistance in a lightweight and capable package.
Impressed so far? Well, this is just the beginning. Keep reading to discover the new Voltage and its technologies further below.
Integrated Suspension Technology
Our Integrated Suspension Technology enables us to optimise the bike’s suspension performance by engineering frames with a lower center of gravity, resulting in better handling and a more stable, confidence-inspiring ride. This allows for a stiffer construction around the BB, reducing unnecessary movements laterally to the direction of the shock’s travel. It goes without saying that the shock is also protected from debris and the elements, two of the main enemies when it comes to shock performance.
Shock Variations
On all Voltage models except one, you’ll find the all-new, ultra-sensitive FOX NUDE 6T rear shock, with its TwinLoc activated riding modes allowing the rider to quickly adapt suspension characteristics to the trail ahead.
The exception to this is on the Voltage 900 Tuned, which comes specced with the aggressive FOX Float X NUDE shock, complete with piggyback. This model, complete with a FOX Factory 36 Grip 2, is for the zero-chill riders out there who like to optimise the tuning of their suspension for every ride. This is further enhanced by the TracLoc remote system, making for an ultra-capable, aggressive Trail platform.
Linkage Design
The Voltage suspension linkage is comprised of a stiff and lightweight one-piece inner piece that is driven by the externally visible, straight-splined outer linkage pieces. A shock extender piece connects the inner linkage to the shock’s trunnion mount, ideally positioning the shock to allow room for the motor while achieving 155mm of dreamy support.
Shock Access
The downtube door that is featured on all Voltage models is super simple to remove, taking just a quarter turn of the dial to remove the cover. The large opening makes things like shock adjustments and cable routing much easier. Additionally, removing the shock is a piece of cake. A window on the drive-side of the seat tube gives direct access to the shock bolt.
Frame Construction
We’ve applied our stiffness and lightweight zone principle to the HMF carbon construction of the Voltage. Through strategic reinforcement of certain areas in the stiffness zone, we can really maximize weight savings elsewhere.
TQ-HPR50
The TQ-HPR50 motor delivers 50Nm of maximum torque, and is powered by the 360Wh internal battery housed in the downtube. The minimalistic toptube display can be customised to show you the metrics that you want to see most, and bluetooth connection to your smartphone allows you to tune the motor characteristics to your preference. Out for an extra long ride? The seat-tube bottle cage can be quickly swapped out for an optional 160Wh TQ Range Extender, giving you even greater range for those more ambitious days on the trails.
Details
The design of the Voltage frame has also allowed us to maximise dropper post insertion, allowing room for 140mm posts on size small, 180mm on size medium and large, and 210mm on size extra-large.
Setting sag and checking travel use is easier than ever before with the Voltage. An external indicator on the link allows the end user to easily set sag and to identify how much travel you’re using.
The bike also features clever chainstay protection to protect your bike and keep things nice and quiet. Our rear axle tool has been a staple on our bikes for years, it is now better than ever. It features a t25, t30 and a 6 allen key all in one. With these three options you can adjust all pivot hardware and nearly everything else there is to adjust on the bicycle.
The Voltage Product Range
The Voltage will come with 6 different models, all benefiting from a complete HMF carbon construction and the same technological benefits, regardless of the spec level chosen.
