Shimano STEPS E5000

May 5, 2020 - For city commuters, Shimano’s STEPS E5000 series power system featuring 250 watts with max torque of 40 Nm is lightweight and incredibly quiet. The company’s lightest motor sits at only 2.5kg and provides up to 200% of power assistance. Another plus is the range of the 504Wh battery, which can let you reach up to 185km on one charge. Shifting is powered by the Nexus 5-speed internal hub, which is shielded from the elements for the best reliability in all weather conditions. Automatic shifting is included with the Di2 option and features an auto downshift whenever the bike is stopped, making re-acceleration easy and comfortable.
