October 26, 2023 - Stromer, in collaboration with TD Hitech Energy, showcased its first functional next-generation solid-state ceramic e-bike battery prototype at Eurobike in Frankfurt this past June.

Solid-state batteries represent groundbreaking technology with respect to energy storage and offer a range of advantages specifically for e-bikes.

Other objectives include achieving low-temperature charging capabilities down to -30°C (with a target of -20°C), significantly enhanced safety features compared to current batteries, and reduced charging times through the use of fast chargers (aiming for a 5C rate, equivalent to just 12 minutes, as opposed to the current 3C rate of approximately 20 minutes).
