March 25, 2025 - (Taipei, Taiwan) Taipei Cycle 2025, organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), will open tomorrow at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. As one of the world’s largest professional cycling trade shows, this year’s event will feature 980 exhibitors from 35 countries across 3,600 booths, showcasing the latest technological advancements and market trends shaping the global cycling industry.

Under the theme “Ride the Revolution,” Taipei Cycle 2025 will highlight the industry’s transformative evolution, attracting over 3,000 international buyers from more than 80 countries and creating substantial global business opportunities.
For the first time, Taipei Cycle introduced the Bike Demo Exclusive Test Ride, a special pre-show event on March 25. This event allowed select media representatives and industry professionals from 12 countries to test-ride the latest smart cycling technology, e-bike power systems, lightweight materials, and cutting-edge riding solutions before the exhibition officially opened.
This year’s Taipei Cycle exhibition is structured around four core themes that define the industry’s future: Innovation Drive, Smart Cycling, Green Forward, and Cycling Ecosystem. Collectively, these themes shape the industry’s evolving landscape, reflecting its shift toward innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation.

Pioneering Future Technologies
Innovation Drive remains a focal point of the show, spotlighting groundbreaking technology and emerging startups. The Bike Vision Startup Zone returns for its second edition, featuring 11 startups from 7 countries that present advancements in AI-powered cycling solutions, electrification, ESG applications, and new business models. Through Pitch & Demo sessions and international networking salons, startups will connect with global investors and industry leaders, fostering cross-sector collaboration. This year, the Taipei Cycle d&i Awards received 150 submissions from 11 countries, with 51 winning entries, including five Gold Award recipients. These award-winning designs highlight major industry trends, from smart technology integration and eco-friendly materials to aerodynamic, lightweight designs and modular innovations. The increasing role of e-bikes in urban mobility is also a key highlight, reinforcing the sector’s continued evolution.
Leading the Sustainability Movement
Green Forward further emphasizes the industry’s commitment to sustainability. As ESG initiatives gain momentum worldwide, cycling continues to play a crucial role in promoting green mobility and reducing carbon emissions. This year, Taipei Cycle is collaborating with SGS to curate the Green Forward Sustainability Tour, which features 35 exhibitors leading advancements in eco-friendly manufacturing, low-carbon technologies, and circular economy solutions. These industry pioneers are shaping the future of sustainable mobility and demonstrating how innovation aligns with environmental responsibility.
Digital Innovation for the Future of Riding
Smart Cycling redefines the riding experience through digital innovation. The E-Cycling & Smart Services Zone will introduce immersive virtual cycling, smart training systems, and real-time data analytics, connecting riders in ways never seen before. The exhibition will also host the International E-Cycling Competition, further expanding the global digital cycling ecosystem. With AI, IoT, and smart systems transforming how cyclists engage with their bikes, Taipei Cycle 2025 will showcase the next generation of intelligent riding technology.
Expanding the Role of Cycling Events
Cycling Ecosystem explores how cycling extends beyond transportation and sport to become an economic and cultural driver. This year’s Taipei Cycle Forum – Beyond Biking will feature industry experts and event organizers from the Tour de France Singapore Criterium, Giro d’Italia, Grand Cycle Tokyo, Bike New York, and Taiwan’s KOM Challenge. The discussion will highlight how international cycling events contribute to urban economic growth, tourism development, and city branding, further solidifying cycling’s role as a catalyst for community engagement and sustainable development.

Taiwan’s Supply Chain Poised for Growth
As the global economy stabilizes, demand for high-end bicycles, e-bikes, and smart cycling applications continues to grow, fueled by increasing investments in green mobility, urban cycling infrastructure, and advanced technologies. The rising global interest in intelligent motor systems, AI-driven automatic shifting, and ultra-light carbon fiber frames positions Taiwan—renowned for its precision manufacturing and comprehensive supply chain—as a key hub for the global cycling industry.
