Taipei Cycle d&i Awards Announces the 2024 Winners from Nearly 150 Submissions

January 29, 2024 - (Taipei, Taiwan) The award winners of the Taipei Cycle d&i awards 2024 have been announced. After an extensive two-day evaluation, an international panel of professionals with backgrounds in the design of bicycles and accessories participated in discussions to select 47 submissions as winners.

The Taipei Cycle 2024 Gold Award was presented to the top seven submissions, recognised for their outstanding achievements in cycle design. Among them, the Gold Award – Startup was presented to the best newcomer to the industry, while the Gold Award – Green Prize, introduced in 2023, was given to the product that demonstrated exceptional green product development. Each award winner showcases the present state and upcoming trends in the bicycle industry.

With nearly 150 submissions from 12 countries across the globe, the rising engagement demonstrates a thriving resurgence in the bicycle industry. The jury observed a strong focus on environmental sustainability across a vast amount of the submissions, with the development of electric bicycles being abundant, showing that consumer demands for enhanced sports experiences and increased efficiency are driving the evolution of the bicycle market.

The jury, consisting of Bob Sung (UL GmbH, Taiwan branch), Johnson Wu (Cycling & Health Tech Industry R&D Center, Taichung), Henry Chang (Gearlab, Taiwan), Kimberly Lin (Taiwan Mountain Biking Association, Taiwan), Georg Todtenbier (e*thirteen components, Germany), Irfan Kachwalla (Logitech, India), Henrik Jeppesen (HJ Consulting, Denmark) and Craig Dent (RiDE-studios, United Kingdom) came together at the Taipei World Trade Center to assess the entries in person, meticulously examining the designs and technical advancements of every project.

The official awards ceremony announcing the winners will take place during the pre-show press conference at the Taipei Cycle 2024 held in Room 401, TaiNEX Hall 1 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center on 5 March. The winners will be featured at the d&i awards Pavilion at Taipei Cycle Show from 6-9 March 2024, and at www.ifdesign.com the world’s largest online design awards platform. Taipei Cycle 2024 will bring 950 exhibitors to 3,500 booths, underlining four key themes which include Micro-mobility, Culture and Lifestyle, Startup and Innovation and Green Action.
