December 4, 2022 - According to the Toronto Community Bikeways Coalition, if the municipal government in Toronto actually cared about cyclists’ safety, there are plenty of improvements that could be rapidly implemented from separated bike lanes, to bigger fines, to better maintenance, to ensure people feel safer riding a bike in Toronto.
Instead of having to keep berating city councillors, the mayor’s office, and various municipal bureaucrats, year after year, for simple improvements that could potentially save lives and avoid severe injuries, here are 10 recommendations that the city could implement to make cycling safer – if it gave a damn.
