Toronto Bike Lane Removals Not Until March at the Earliest Says Ontario’s Attorney General

December 17, 2024 - Ontario’s Ford government does not intend to make any physical changes to cycling infrastructure before March 20, 2025 according to the Ministry of the Attorney General reports TorontoToday.

The province’s lawyer, Cara Zwibel, emailed the attorneys representing Cycle Toronto that launched a legal action vs Bill 212 under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms to contest the government’s plans to remove some or all of Toronto’s Bloor Street, Yonge Street and University Avenue bike lanes.
