Toronto Road Rage Continues as Motorcyclist Intentionally Hits Cyclist in Bike Lane

September 13, 2023 - A Toronto cyclist was severely injured after being intentionally struck by a motorcyclist in a downtown bike lane during an alleged road rage incident last month that was caught on a dash camera video reports CP24 News.

“There was intent there,” claims the cyclist, who’s identity is being protected by CTV News Toronto. “It’s just a shocking overreaction to a road rage situation. I’m now suffering some pretty serious injuries as a result of someone being angry.”

The biker was heading northbound on River Street when the suspect came out of a driveway or street just south of Dundas Street without stopping and almost hit him. The motorcyclist followed the cyclist into the bike lane and knocked the rider off before fleeing eastbound.

“There had been an interaction – not on video — just before where the motorcyclist cut off our client and he gestured with displeasure,” said the victim’s lawyer David Shellnut @TheBikingLawyer.
