January 29, 2020 - [Waterloo, WI] Trek announced the release of the all-new Domane+ LT today-a performance electric road bike that looks and handles just like the road bikes you know, but delivers a part-time assist with a fully integrated Fazua drive system you can seamlessly kick on for the biggest climbs and fastest group rides.
Domane+ LT is built in Domane’s tradition of versatility to deliver a ride that’s fast and smooth over the long haul. It features road-smoothing Front and Adjustable Top Tube IsoSpeed, hydraulic disc brakes, internal cable routing, and clearance for up to 38c tires for added stability and traction on the biggest all-road adventures.
Premium lightweight Fazua electronics
The heart of the all-new Domane+ LT is a sleek, frame-integrated Fazua system and a 250Wh battery that sustains speeds of up to 32 km/h and delivers continuous assist for up to 100 kilometers. With the motor and battery installed, a 56 cm Domane+ LT tips the scales at a super-friendly 29.9 lbs.
Removable Drivepack
For rides where you know you won’t want assist, the whole system can be removed in a matter of seconds, and you can install an included cover to keep the inside of your frame protected. With this setup, a 56cm Domane+ LT weighs only 23.6 lbs.
Top tube-integrated controls
Additionally, the controls for the Fazua system are fully integrated into the frame’s top tube, which opens up space on the handlebar for a GPS or other ride essentials.
Domane+ LT is built with a 500 Series OCLV Carbon frame and fork, a 2×11 Shimano Ultegra drivetrain, integrated front and rear lighting, and hydraulic disc brakes.
“This is the electric road bike that lets you ride with anyone,” said Trek Product Marketing Director Michael Mayer. “It’s the perfect electric bike for roadies who demand the performance and handling characteristics of our best Domane, but want a part-time assist they can engage for the hardest climbs and fastest rides.”
Domane+ LT is part of Trek’s first-ever electric bike offering in the Project One custom bike program, where riders can customize their dream bike with premium paint schemes (including Project One ICON schemes) and select component spec options.
It’s available immediately for $8,499.99 CAD through Trek’s global network of retail partners. For more information please visit here.
