November 11, 2021 - On the occasion of COP26, Vélo Québec is adding its voice to that of 300+ organizations around the world in stressing the fact that cycing is a simple, effective solution for fighting climate change. Through this open letter, we are calling upon our government leaders to:
- Promote cycling in all its forms: recreational, utilitarian and sport;
- Recognize its benefits for health, the economy and the environment;
- Developed safe, friendly cycling infrastructures;
- Support national programs promoting the use of bicycles to the detriment of cars.
