May 16, 2020 - We all know that having a safe place to ride is key to getting more people out of cars and onto bikes, e-bikes, and e-scooters. How can we, in the bikeshare and shared micromobility industry, help make safe infrastructure a priority in our cities? We’ll hear from the City of Memphis and San Francisco Transportation Municipal Transportation Agency on how bikeshare and shared micromobility in those communities have helped inform and make the case for safe street infrastructure development. We’ll hear how Healthy Ride is not only a bikeshare operator, but is also doing grassroots advocacy to help build out the bikeway network in Pittsburgh. People for Bikes will talk about grassroots activism, and advise ways to be local advocates in our own communities. Tune in, bring your questions, and learn how we can be advocates for safer streets!
Speakers:
– Nicholas Oyler, City of Memphis
