Women in Cycling Launches New Survey on Diversity in the Cycling Industry

release by Cycling Industries Europe

July 8, 2025 - We warmly invite everyone working in the cycling industry to participate in a new survey on diversity in the cycling industry. Your input will help Cycling Industries Europe gain a clearer picture of gender representation, leadership diversity, and workplace practices across the cycling industry. This survey is conducted by CIE’s Women In Cycling Expert Group.

The survey could mark a key step in building a data-driven approach to inclusion in the cycling industry. ©

Data is not just informative – it’s transformative. It provides the clarity the cycling industry needs to set goals, identify gaps, benchmark progress, and build accountability across the sector to monitor our progress towards a more equal representation and opportunities.

We hope that with your contribution, the survey could mark a key step in building a data-driven approach to inclusion in the cycling industry. Your participation is extremely valuable and should not take more than 10 minutes of your time.

This survey is designed to collect company-level data on:

•    workforce composition across gender and leadership levels
•    recruitment, retention, and career development trends
•    existing initiatives to support gender inclusion and diversity
•   challenges, opportunities and best practices in building inclusive workplace cultures in the cycling industry

The insights gathered will contribute to sector-wide efforts to foster a more inclusive, equitable, and competitive industry.

All responses will be treated confidentially and reported in aggregate form only.

The survey is open until July 31 – take the survey here.

Thank you for your valuable contribution to this important initiative.

Warm regards,
The Women in Cycling Expert Group
