Celebrate Winter Cycling at the 2026 Coldest Day of the Year Ride on Feb. 28 in Toronto

February 27, 2026 - (Toronto, ON) Cycle Toronto invites residents to take part in the 2026 Coldest Day of the Year Ride on Saturday, February 28. The annual event celebrates winter cycling and demonstrates that riding a bike is a viable, healthy, and enjoyable transportation option year-round.

Whether you’re a year-round cyclist or just winter-curious, this free community ride is open to everyone. The ride will cover approximately 10 kilometres at a comfortable, all-ages-and-abilities pace along the waterfront trail and through the Port Lands, ending with hot chocolate and light refreshments. From −20°C to a comparatively mild 2°C like Saturday’s forecast, the Coldest Day of the Year Ride showcases that cycling is a year-round activity in Toronto.
