Celebrate Winter Cycling at the 2026 Coldest Day of the Year Ride on Feb. 28 in Toronto

(Toronto, ON) Cycle Toronto invites residents to take part in the 2026 Coldest Day of the Year Ride on Saturday, February 28. The annual event celebrates winter cycling and demonstrates that riding a bike is a viable, healthy, and enjoyable transportation option year-round.

Whether you’re a year-round cyclist or just winter-curious, this free community ride is open to everyone. The ride will cover approximately 10 kilometres at a comfortable, all-ages-and-abilities pace along the waterfront trail and through the Port Lands, ending with hot chocolate and light refreshments. From −20°C to a comparatively mild 2°C like Saturday’s forecast, the Coldest Day of the Year Ride showcases that cycling is a year-round activity in Toronto.
