August 25, 2026 - (Suzhou, China) Bafang will unveil the production versions of its two racing-sport eMTB drive systems – the M510RS and M560RS – at IBF – International Bike Festival 2026 (September 4–6, Misano, Italy). First shown as a concept at Eurobike 2025, the RS series now arrives with test rides available at the show, ahead of mass production in Q4 2026.

A Philosophy Born from the Trail
After two decades of engineering experience and deep engagement with riders worldwide, Bafang has distilled its guiding philosophy into a clear principle: “Rider-eBike-Road in One.” It is a product ethos where the bike reads the road and the system adapts to the rider – not through brute force alone, but through intelligence, precision, and an unwavering commitment to user experience.
“We constantly push beyond ourselves to meet every new challenge,” says Qinghua Wang, CEO of Bafang. “Our goal is to produce innovative and reliable products that make a tangible difference to riding confidence and control.”
From Race Track to Production Line
The sustained, reliable performance of the RS series was forged on demanding mountain trails — from regional gravel tracks to the extreme conditions of the WES UCI E-MTB World Cup series, with fine-tuning across every level. The result: higher-precision sensors, the addition of a 6 axis IMU, fully optimized control algorithms, and over 4,000 hours of race track fine tuning. Boost to Limit puts maximum output at your fingertips – on demand, whenever you need it.

RS Series: Shared Foundation, Distinct Characters
The RS series delivers the same core architecture across both models: 6 axis IMU for real-time terrain sensing, Sport+ for pedal-by-pedal adaptive assistance (up to 500%), and Boost‑to‑Limit unlocks 800% assistance in a short-duration burst of maximum output for extreme obstacles. Both achieve 50% faster response and 33% more sensitive power stop than their standard counterparts. Hill Hold and Walk Assist 2.0 come standard on both.
What sets them apart is power character:
M510RS – Adaptive Precision, Smart Control — for Performance MTB
110 Nm peak torque (120–130 Nm with Boost to Limit), 1100W (36V) / 1300W (48V) max output. Refined pedal-by-pedal precision, honed through thousands of race kilometers – for technical climbs and demanding ascents. The 6 axis IMU and Sport+ mode continuously read your pedaling and the terrain – so assistance feels intuitive, not intrusive.

M560RS – Sustained Extreme Power — for Extreme MTB
120 Nm peak torque (140–150 Nm with Boost to Limit), 1400W (36V) / 1700W (48V) peak output. Built for the steepest, loosest, most punishing terrain. Engineered for the long climb – where sustained torque and thermal stability matter more than peak numbers.

Available in versions compliant with EU (25 km/h) or U.S. (45 km/h) market requirements. That‘s the difference between “extreme” and “performance” — M560RS is built for the steepest terrain, while M510RS is tuned for the most precise control. M510RS and M560RS share the same mounting interface as the M510 and M560, making them compatible with existing frames without modification.

Beyond the System: A Complete Ecosystem
Beyond the drive unit itself, Bafang offers a fully integrated ecosystem – including batteries, displays, and auto shift hubs – all designed to work seamlessly together. With global sales and service centers across Europe, North America, and Asia, Bafang delivers the engineering support and supply chain reliability that partners trust from development to production.
