April 7, 2026 - (Asheville, NC) Blaupunkt Americas announces the grand opening of its U.S.-based eBike production facility in Asheville, North Carolina, marking a major step in bringing domestic manufacturing to its foldable e-bike line.
The new operation, established in partnership with Kitzuma Cycling Logistics, a leading provider of bicycle assembly, fulfillment, and supply chain services, enables Blaupunkt to shift production to the U.S. mainland while strengthening speed-to-market and operational control.
The Asheville facility represents the transition of production capabilities from Blaupunkt Americas’ Asunción, Paraguay operation, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to U.S. manufacturing.
“With the launch of our Asheville facility, Blaupunkt eBikes are now being manufactured in the United States,” said Brian Tedesco, President of Blaupunkt Americas. “This is a strategic move to enhance supply chain efficiency, improve delivery timelines, and align with growing demand for domestically produced mobility products.”

The facility will produce Blaupunkt’s signature foldable magnesium-frame eBikes, known for their portability, durability, and appeal across RV, marine, and urban mobility markets. All units are built to meet stringent safety standards.
