Brompton Wheels Out One Millionth Folding Bicycle From London Factory

December 7, 2022 - London, UK-based Brompton Bikes, established in 1975, has built its one millionth folding bike reports Forbes. Signed by inventor Andrew Ritchie and current CEO, Will Butler-Adams, the one-of-a-kind folding bike is going on an epic adventure, the One Millionth Brompton Tour, travelling to 18 different countries over 12 months.

Brompton’s innovative fold design has changed little in almost 50 years and 100,000 of the iconic folding bikes are now made each year, with over 70% of production exported.

“Since the first bike in 1975, a Brompton has always been built to be ridden,” Butler-Adam told Forbes, “and the millionth is no different.”
