May 3, 2026 - In early April, Blaupunkt Americas Corp announced the grand opening of its American-based e-bike production facil- ity in Asheville, North Carolina, marking a major step in bringing domestic manu- facturing to its foldable e-bike line, which includes three primary 20-inch wheel- folding e-bikes: Henri, Fiene and Fiete.

The new operation, established in partnership with Kitzuma Cycling Logistics, a leading provider of bicycle assembly, fulfillment, and supply chain services, enables Blaupunkt to shift production to the U.S. mainland while strengthening speed-to-market and operational control.
The Asheville facility represents the transition of production capabilities from Blaupunkt Americas’ Asunción, Paraguay operation, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to U.S. manufacturing.
The new facility’s initial production capacity is 5,000 units annually, with plans to expand as demand increases.
