eSystems – Bosch eBike Systems Launches First Hub Motor
October 18, 2026 - Bosch eBike Systems has launched its new Hub Line, a lightweight, agile, and almost invisible rear hub motor that benefits from all the advantages of the company’s smart system.
Developed specifically for urban settings, it features 45Nm of torque that delivers lively yet sensitive support and a smart sensor that optimizes the system for controlled, responsive riding.
The compact design features a moderate motor weight of approximately 5.1 pounds and a diameter of about 3.9 inches, allowing the motor to blend discreetly into the rear hub and become an almost invisible part of the clean overall design, thanks to its black aluminum housing.
As part of its new Hub Line, Bosch also presented the PowerTube 360, the slimmest battery to date in its smart system, with a diameter of 2.7 inches. Weighing approximately 4.6 pounds, it helps optimize the e-bike’s centre of gravity, and the battery offers an 80km range. A dual-battery option with a PowerMore 250 Range Extender is available for longer distances. Depending on the manufacturer’s design, the PowerTube 360 is either removable or permanently installed in the frame.
The new LED Controller is the successor to Bosch’s LED Remote and is about 65% smaller than its predecessor, creating a minimalist look on the handlebar. All five buttons are optimally positioned within thumb’s reach and provide clear, audible feedback.
The LEDs clearly display information such as riding mode and battery level, while a sensor automatically adjusts brightness to match ambient light. A practical USB-C port enables external devices to be charged.
The sleek 2.4- inch grayscale Intuvia 200 display delivers a razor-sharp image and ensures excellent readability in any weather and from any angle.
The Bosch ConnectModul is also available and features GPS, cellular, and motion sensors for advanced digital theft-protection functions, including e-bike Alarm.
The new module generation uses Bluetooth® Low Energy technology and can be more easily retrofitted to compatible e-bikes with flexible mounting. The extended features are included in the Flow+ paid subscription service.
