Vestel Multinational Electronics Giant in Turkey Enters eBike Battery Market

Vestel, one of Turkey’s largest electronics manufacturers, has produced its first e-bike batteries for domestic bicycles and e-bike system manufacturers along with export purposes reports the Daily Sabah.

The company produces batteries for many other products and its core business includes televisions, EV chargers and automotive electronics.

Vestel’s e-bike batteries use lithium nickel cobalt aluminum oxides (NCA) cells that have high energy density. Produced using the company’s own equipment, mechanical design, production and test infrastructure, the new batteries have received EN50604-1 safety certification.

According to the report Vestel CEO, Turan Erdoan, said the company will continue to invest in future technologies with a focus on designing the best in the field.
