Paris to Invest €250 Million in New 2021-26 Urban Bike Plan to Become 100% Cycling City

October 19, 2022 - (Paris, FRA) The new 2021-2026 cycling plan aims to make Paris a 100% cycling city. The development of new infrastructure, along with the massive implementation of secure parking solutions, is designed to strengthen the city’s bicycle ecosystem.

Cycling plan, act 2: after the first plan (2015-2020) with 150 million euros , a new 2021-2026 plan further increases the presence of cycling in Paris and continues the construction of the cycling city initiated 20 years ago.

This represents a budget of more than 250 million euros in investments , or 100 million euros more than the bicycle plan in the previous mandate.

More than 130,000 new bicycle parking spots including places for cargo bikes are planned. ©
