Quebec Announces $2,000 eCargo Bike Rebate as Green Initiative Starting Jan. 1

December 20, 2020 - The renewal of programs linked to the Master Plan for Quebec’s energy transition, innovation and efficiency were recently announced. The long-awaited unveiling of the Green Economy Plan of the Government of Quebec was also an opportunity to announce the continuation and strengthening of several flagship energy transition measures, including the following programs:

Transport green

  • A new funding from $2,000 will be available from 1 st  January 2021 to buy a cargo bike with electric assistance, including to encourage a delivery-carbon for online commerce, food proximity and local deliveries.
  • The maximum financial assistance for supporting activities is increased, among other things promoting the deployment of large-scale projects aimed at improving the energy efficiency of large vehicle fleets.
