Ten Cities to Get Up to $1 Million for New Cycling Infrastructure via Bloomberg Philanthropies

(Amsterdam, The Netherlands) A new Initiative will provide as much as $1 million from Bloomberg Philanthropies and Global Designing Cities who will select 10 different cities worldwide looking to build more bike lanes and increase ridership reports Bloomberg.

The Bloomberg Initiative for Cycling Infrastructure, a collaboration between Bloomberg Philanthropies and the Global Designing Cities Initiative, will target cities with more than 100,000 residents and accept applications on a rolling basis from Nov. 10 to Feb. 3.

The plan was announced today in Amsterdam at CityLab, a summit for urban leaders hosted by Bloomberg Philanthropies and the Aspen Institute.
