Transport for London’s Santander Bike Share to add eBikes after Record 1.3 Million Riders in July

Following a record-breaking 1.3 million riders in July, Transport for London (TfL) and Santander have announced that e-bikes will be introduced to London’s bike share scheme from September 12, 2022 reports Intelligent Transport.

The new e-bikes will be distributed across key central London locations and able to be docked at any of the scheme’s 800 docking stations.

TfL will also be making changes to the Santander Cycles tariff structure to make it simpler, more flexible and easier to understand as feedback from customers has shown that the current set-up is too complex and inflexible.
